Believing for Your Family to be Saved

It’s not what you think.

It’s much easier than you think! When the Lord gives you insight into this, you’ll never be the same.

Depending on what church you have learned about the things of God,

or people who have imparted “Christian” ideas/ideals into you will form

the kinds of “doctrine” you have held on to. We all have them. Even the

unsaved think certain things because of what they have heard from the

believer’s camps. We don’t want to base anything on “doctrine of men” -

instead, we want to see what God says about it. Because that is all that

matters.

As a foundation, “what do you believe?” Meaning, that “God has got

your back, no matter what?” I hope so. Because He does. No matter

what, God can’t lie. He doesn’t have the ability. Yes, there are some

things God can’t do. He can’t lie. He cannot go against His own Word. If

He said it…now hold on to your hats…If He spoke it, yes, it’s a promise…

which means it’s a covenant! And God doesn’t break His covenants.

Psalm 89:34 - “I will not violate My covenant or alter what My lips have

uttered.”

What God has said - He has said. It cannot return void but will

accomplish that which He pleases and it will come to pass!! Isaiah 55:11.

And there’s one more bit to add, if this wasn’t enough:

Hebrews 6:13-15 - “13When God made His promise to Abraham,

since there was no one greater for Him to swear by, He swore by

Himself, 14saying, “I will surely bless you and give you many

descendants.”  15And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received

what was promised.”

What this means is the covenant God made with Abraham, a promise, God made it to Himself!

Track with me on this.

When two people make a promise to one another, they are basing it

on themselves to keep that promise. God did exactly that. Because He

couldn’t swear to a greater power. He IS the Greater Power. Since He

swore His Own Word to Himself this means the promise CANNOT be

broken. It will come to pass. No matter how long it takes!

This being said, God has promised us that ALL of our family and

household (or those who are our circle of friends) will be saved - Acts

2:39; Acts 16:31; John 6:44. He also said in 1 Timothy 2:4 that He

would have ALL men to be saved and come unto the knowledge of the

truth. And again in 2 Peter 3:9 - “9The Lord is not slow in keeping his

promise, as some understand slowness. Instead He is patient with you,

not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

What I’m saying is this - relax. Your family and friends will be saved.

God promised and He is not a man that He should lie, Numbers 23:19. It

may not happen in the timing you like, but that doesn’t really matter. God has a plan.

Trust Him. He’s got it. And if you haven’t read the article on the Second Death and Great White Throne Judgement, do it. It is not easy to read but all who are God’s will be back with Him for eternity! God is not going to loose any of His kids. Like the parable of the Prodigal Son, God is not going to loose any! We can trust Him.

So when you start getting nagging thoughts and feelings about loved ones not being saved, start praising God and rejoicing in Him because He will bring His Word to pass. A person cannot. It’s God Who does it. So praise and rejoice in Him for

already having done it, even if you don’t see it yet, because it is surely

coming to pass!
