Do You Know Who You Are? How To Take Authority!

One of the ways to take Authority is to declare God's Word over your and your family's lives.

Below are two types of prayers based entirely on scripture to speak over your life. (For further study see the article under "Spiritual Warfare" section: Taking Authority. There's way more to it that what we are typically taught.)

Listed below is are 2 examples of how to do this. As you get used to doing this, praying scripture back to God as a confession over yourself (your family etc) follow the Holy Spirit’s lead, He will bring Scriptures to your remembrance. Speak them out! He will even give you utterance where you will be lead by Him to speak out about situations - Ephesians 6:19-20; Mark 13:14; Romans 8:26, the Holy Spirit gives utterance when you don’t know what to say.

PRAYER #1:

“Father God, in the Name of Jesus, I just want to give You praise for Your goodness is in me and on me; Your grace is on me; Your Holy Spirit is in me and teaches me how I should go. He gives me wisdom and revelation knowledge, and I am so thankful for Your wisdom within me, teaching me. I thank You that my eyes are enlightened as to what You want me to know for TODAY. This day. And I thank You for it.

I thank You that the Holy Spirit has shed Your love abroad in my heart, I move and operate by Your love. Your loves teaches me, gives me knowledge and I act on what You tell me. I praise You because GREATER are You Who is in me than he who is in the world. I am a world overcomer because Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. If God is for me, who can be against me!  And I overcame the devil by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of my testimony. I am more than a conqueror through Him that loves me and Jesus is at the right hand of the Father ever making intercession for me and always praying for my triumph!

I give You praise Father God, for making me right with You through my Lord Jesus Christ - He took my sin so I could take His righteousness. And now I am a NEW CREATURE in Christ Jesus and I can do all things through Him. Old things have gone away and all things within me have become new. And you have given me a fresh start for TODAY by Christ Jesus taking all of my sin and nailing it to His Cross eternally and now I am brand new! For God You are a consuming fire within me.

I trust in You Lord, I don’t lean to my own understanding or ways of thinking. In all my ways I acknowledge You and You direct my path. You are my Shepherd. You direct me and I follow You. You call me by name and I hear Your Voice because I am Your sheep and I can never be taken out of Your hand.

For IN You, Lord Jesus, I live and move and have my being. What a vast storehouse of power I have IN You. I have life, energy, strength for the impossible tasks. I am strong in You and in the Power of Your might. God upholds all things by the Word of His Power and all His promises are “yes” and “amen”. So I say “yes” to all of Your promises in Your Word, and “amen!” So be it! If God said it He will do it. He is not a man that He should lie. Knowledge (mental) puffs up while love builds up, so I do not lean to my head-knowledge, I continually press in to You, to press in to Your love, it builds me up and as I speak to people through the day through Your love and looking through Your eyes, the right words will come out of my mouth that will be a help and build up others. Not by might nor by power but by Your Spirit in me says the Lord of Hosts!”

PRAYER #2:

“Oh, Lord Jesus I give You praise! For You are worthy to be praised! And I’m so grateful for all You have done for me. I am set free from the Law of Sin and Death, through Your precious Blood You spilt for me. And the Law of the Spirit of Life surges within me. Burning up all attempts of illness because I walk in divine health in Jesus Name.

I’m so grateful that You have taught me how to take Authority in my life, In Your Name. So I take Authority over my day in Jesus Name: I cancel every assignment the enemy has set up for me today and I loose all the fiery arrows that have been thrown at my body, my mind, and my emotions, my family, my business and all else that belongs to me, in Jesus Name. You have blessed me beyond measure and I won’t allow the devil to steal the blessings You have given me. And with Your magnificent fire Lord God I ask that You burn all demonic cords, residue, and anything else from the kingdom of darkness that was in my environment. I bind the strongman in my neighborhood and in my town/city, in Jesus Name. I refuse him access to anything that I have to do with, in Jesus Name.

The fire of God is within me and everywhere I go I bring Your heavenly fire with me. You’re greater than anything! And You are my God! My Father! My Protector! I thank You that You lead and guide me in the way that I should go. I am Your sheep and I hear Your Voice! The voice of stranger I will not follow. I follow You, Lord Jesus! My Shepherd.”
